They met through Brendan, a mutual friend in college. Right after graduation, Jim got Aimee’s number from Brendan to congratulate her on her new job. And shortly there after, they started dating! So clearly the biggest takeaway here for all of you single people out there is to get you a friend who will help get you a girl ;]

Jim + Aimee said “I do” and officially became Mr & Mrs. Whalen this past weekend at the Event Barn at Mount Ida! It’s always so fun to be back in Charlottesville (one of our favorite shooting locations!) and we loved celebrating with these two!

One of my favorite things to hear about from our couples before their wedding day is what they are most excited about! Mainly because so much of the time is spent planning for their wedding day, that all of those details can become consuming! But I always love to hear about the little things that aren’t necessarily detail heavy that excite them! Aimee said that she was most excited to do a first look with Jim (#dreambride!!) because she was excited for that alone time they would have together before their ceremony. Apart from that, she was most excited to walk down the aisle to him with her Dad. Both of those moments were seriously so sweet and I love that those were what Aimee was looking forward to the most!

We loved celebrating with these two and seriously can’t wait to share their final film with you soon! The rain held off (PRAISE), the clouds came in a bit right before Aimee walked down the aisle which helped cool down their direct sun ceremony site, and they had the best dance party to top off the night! Enjoy this fun sneak peek of their beautiful day!

Meet Ashley

A true sweetheart from Southwestern VA, Ash spent many Sundays after church sitting around the table with her grandparents, listening to stories about the “good ‘ole days”. A talented visionary with a true heart for people, she’s likely to be found reading, writing, and planning away.
