They met in high school after Jessica moved to Virginia from Singapore her Junior year. They were introduced through mutual friends and immediately became fast friends  – deepening their relationship through long phone calls, sometimes lasting up to five hours!!

They went their separate ways in college, Matt to Wake Forest and Jessica to UVA, but kept in touch through AIM and weekly phone calls. While distance kept them physically apart, their hearts were still deeply drawn to one another.

Matt studied abroad in London his Junior year of college. Jess decided to go visit him for a week over Thanksgiving break and it was then that she admitted she had a crush on him. It took a bit for Matt to muster up the courage to admit that he felt the same way but he did!! Shortly after, they were officially official!

Over 10 years later, here they are. Their story has been full of experiences, highs and lows, and many, many memories. Through it all, their love for one another has only grown. Celebrating with them was such a joy for Ty and I. They both are so full of light and love for one another and their people. Enjoy a little sneak peek from their beautiful day!

Meet Ashley

A true sweetheart from Southwestern VA, Ash spent many Sundays after church sitting around the table with her grandparents, listening to stories about the “good ‘ole days”. A talented visionary with a true heart for people, she’s likely to be found reading, writing, and planning away.
