Dear Monday, I woke up this morning to a phone call from my Mom. It felt like it was 3AM when she called. It was actually 7AM 🙈 That’s what consistent 5AM wake up calls over the past few days will do to ya – leave you sleep deprived and questioning, WHAT time even is it? 😜
Dear National Parks, Ty and I realized this past weekend when visiting Harpers Ferry National Park that maybe we should invest in a National Park pass. We’ve been to four over the last four months and have spent upwards of $40 on parking 😱 The pass is only $80 a year which means we’ve already spent half of the cost. Yikes! Sooo, basically this is going on my to do list 👌🏻
Dear Pets, Ty and I don’t have any of you but people often think that we do! This past weekend #cleoonvacation made a trip to our house to spend the night! And currently, @huckthehuskypup is hanging out for the week. Pets are a lot of work friends, more so when they are in a new environment trying to adjust to a new space 🙈 Usually Huck is asleep right now at his own house but he’s currently up keeping tabs on all the new exciting things around #firesidedrive. Hopefully he knocks out soon so me and his Momma can werk, werk, werk, werk, werk!!
Dear April, I know everyone says this every month but I really can’t believe we’re 1/4 of the way through the year already! You’re my favorite month because, #birthday 😉 I’m also hoping the temperature/weather picks up this month and it really starts to feel more like spring and less like winter!
Dear Ty, Mile IQ says you drove 2,189 miles last month. It feels like we were in the car for 20 out of the 31 days so that mileage feels wayyy low. But maybe it was just all the traffic we’ve sat in over the past month that maybe all our driving feel long, haha! Thanks for always being the pilot of our car and letting me be the co-pilot who often falls asleep!
The idea for Dear Monday developed from a deep love for storytelling. Letter writing kept us close in spirit though thousands of miles kept us physically apart for quite a while throughout our dating relationship. This became the foundation for what our business was built upon. The idea that “true love can go the distance”. And even the seemingly small things like a simple note here or there, two hearts can be connected and a story can be written that is so much more beautiful than our minds can simply dream up.
