Dear Monday, I went to bed last night at 11:30PM and then got up at 3:30AM to drive my bestie to the Dulles airport to catch her flight. I then immediately drove home to Richmond from DC. Truthfully, I am le tired.
Dear Girl Scout Cookies, I’m grateful you have some dairy free options so that I can still experience the nostalgia of “cookie month.” This knowledge immediately led me to download the “cookie tracker” app in order to find a place that was selling cookies ASAP last Tuesday. Luckily, they had my favorite, Peanut Butter Patties, which are dairy free. Unlike their twin, Tagalongs, which are not. So weird.
Dear Master Bathroom, I’ve loathed you since we moved into #firesidedrive because half of yourself is carpeted. Like seriously, who puts carpet in a bathroom? #gross Alas, we haven’t remodeled it yet in the almost four years that we’ve lived here (I believe that’s true home ownership fatigue at it’s finest 😂.) Even though I said it would be the first thing to go 😂 But, I might have made it move on over to the “to do” list a lot faster bc last week I accidentally spilt half of my chocolate protein shake all over the place. I “cleaned it up” by dumping half a gallon of water all over the place. That’ll do the trick, right? 😂
Dear College, You were some of my favorite years of life! Mainly because of the people you brought into my life! I spent this past weekend in Fairfax with one of my college besties catching up, reminiscing, and celebrating her birthday! We even went back on campus for the first time in six years and it’s crazy how much has changed! Being with people who you can just be yourself around is seriously just the best! I may be the most tired I’ve ever been from staying up way past my bedtime for multiple nights in a row, but it was worth it!!
Dear Ty, Last week you went to the chiropractor for the first time and they didn’t heal your bones like you thought they would. I’m the saddest wife.
Happy Monday friends! I’m off to power through this afternoon and count down the minutes until bed time 🙌🏻 Which is coming promptly at 8PM tonight!
The idea for Dear Monday developed from a deep love for storytelling. Letter writing kept us close in spirit though thousands of miles kept us physically apart for quite a while throughout our dating relationship. This became the foundation for what our business was built upon. The idea that “true love can go the distance”. And even the seemingly small things like a simple note here or there, two hearts can be connected and a story can be written that is so much more beautiful than our minds can simply dream up.
