Dear Monday, I know we’re just getting this week started, but one of my college besties is flying into DC from Colorado this Friday and I’m ALREADY counting down the days.
Dear Valentine’s Day, I know you get a bad rap for being mushy and couple centered, yada, yada. BUT, I really do love you. I mean, what’s better then people showing a little extra love one day a year? Especially in the world that we live in now, I think we all need that!
Dear Huck The Husky Pup, You spent last Friday with Ty and I and after a morning of whining through an entire Google hangout with a potential couple I was ready to say sayonara señor. But, then I took you outside and you were the cutest pup for the rest of the day. Ty and I might not have pets of our own, but it’s always good to spend some time with our friends’ furry friends! Or in this case, our nephew pup 😍
Dear MoviePass, Ty and I became BIG fans of yours right after the new year because there were SO many great movies out to see. Right now, the movie scene is looking pretty bleak. We still like you in theory, but we really would LOVE you again if the movie scene would pick it up a notch. You know what I mean?!
Dear Ty, You have become very concerned about the things that you’re eating lately and it legit makes me LOL. From the man whose favorite food is Mac and Cheese and can’t deny a double stuffed Oreo when it’s offered to you, I have to admit, I’m pretty proud. Thanks for letting me down easy when I bought you a personal sized cherry pie for Valentine’s Day – by letting me know after you ate it that it had “genetically modified ingredients.” I promise to read more labels for you from now on 👌🏻
If you’ve been following along for the past few weeks, you know that Ty and I have been hanging out on our business Facebook page on Tuesday nights to talk all about different back end pieces of our business! This week we’re changing things up and hanging out on my Instagram – @ashleyherrinton
I’m taking you behind the scenes of everything I do each day specifically for the backend of our business! Head on over there and give me a follow or follow along with the #behindthefilmbiz! I’d love to see what you’re working on behind the scenes of your filmmaking business! Feel free to #behindthefilmbiz on your posts as well!
The idea for Dear Monday developed from a deep love for storytelling. Letter writing kept us close in spirit though thousands of miles kept us physically apart for quite a while throughout our dating relationship. This became the foundation for what our business was built upon. The idea that “true love can go the distance”. And even the seemingly small things like a simple note here or there, two hearts can be connected and a story can be written that is so much more beautiful than our minds can simply dream up.
