Dear Monday, I’m grateful you came with a dose of sunshine because I woke up with a case of the “Mondays”✌🏻
Dear Coffee, I’m sure it’s not news to you guys that Ty and I are kinda coffee snobs. Our new thing is espresso since Ty got a fancy new machine for Christmas. Yesterday, Ty played LMFAO’s song “Shots” when he delivered my afternoon pick me up. Totally not appropriate, but definitely LOL material 😂 (also…this is all recapped on Ty’s instastory if you’re interested…also, also…he made me add this 😂)
Dear 2018 Goals, Sometimes I hate the idea of goal setting because it feels like an easy way to be instantly disappointed with yourself when you don’t achieve said goal. BUT, sometimes they are great motivation! One of my goals for the new year was to spend more intentional time with my grandparents! So Ty and I drove down to Newport News last Saturday to hang out with them. Gran made some lunch, Papa + Ty flew the drone, and then Gran and I made a pillow case together! It may not sound like a lot, but we made some memories and that’s the most important part!
Dear Superbowl Sunday, I was pulling for the Eagles last night so when they pulled through and won, watching the game totally felt worth it! But watching “This is Us” right after felt like a punch in the gut. Man, all the emotions, all the things. This may be a nod to my “case of the Mondays”…#tired.
Dear Ty, Last week we added quite a few new babies to the fam (if you missed it, just click here). For some reason this isn’t making our gear load any lighter 🤔 I’m gonna have to reach out to the boss about that one…😉
Happy Monday sweet friends! If you’ve been following along, you know that Ty just launched a podcast, “Ty’s Tech Line” and we released a new episode this morning! You can listen to it by subscribing right here!
Also, we’ll be hopping back on Facebook Live for our weekly Filmmaking chat tomorrow night at 7PM EST! This week we’re chatting all about Contracts! You can watch by “liking” our FB page and turning on notifications to be notified when we go live!
The idea for Dear Monday developed from a deep love for storytelling. Letter writing kept us close in spirit though thousands of miles kept us physically apart for quite a while throughout our dating relationship. This became the foundation for what our business was built upon. The idea that “true love can go the distance”. And even the seemingly small things like a simple note here or there, two hearts can be connected and a story can be written that is so much more beautiful than our minds can simply dream up.
