Dear Monday, Hey girl, how you doin’? Long time no see…like 7 days long. Today I’m grateful for a weekend spent at home with my Daddy and Ty working on good ‘ole Fireside Drive. And waking up to my sis being here! I love having family around!!
Dear Summer Reading List, I always seem to neglect you all summer and then try to read all the things when we go on vacation with our families in August. Not this year, ‘ole friend. I’m getting you roped in ASAP (books I’m working on above in the photo!). I’ve already finished one book on the list! YES!!! Friends, anything good that you’ve read recently that I should add to my list?
Dear #cleoonvacation, Girl, you get so crazy when you’re moved to a new place. It’s takes you approximately 24 hours to adjust even if you’ve been there a zillon times. It’s a good thing you’re cute!
Dear Home Remodeling, You are not for the faint of heart. I took apart our bathroom last month and Daddy finally had a free weekend to come down and help us put it back together. We were all SO stoked about our weekend project and turning the bathroom from drab to fab in just 48 hours. While the boys were team #letsnotakeupthefloor, I was all like “give me all the white tile in the bathroom”. Well, I’m so glad my vote won over because when we took up the floor, we found 1/4 of the subfloor was rotten. SO gross. While that severely slowed down our process, I’m thankful that we found it and have it all fixed up finally. Now, Daddy has to come back for round two in a few weeks to finish putting the new tile down and making it look like a bathroom again!! Which also means we have more time to get the drywall better sealed and repainted!! So in some ways, this is a win/win!!
Dear Ty, Last week we slipped out of the office a little early for a day date and it was one of my favorite dates we’ve ever been on!! The best sandwiches from Ivy Provisions, having a picnic at Pollak Vineyards drinking the BEST Pinot Gris and topping it off with fruit picking at Chiles Peach Orchard. Just THE best!! Maybe making a summer bucket list was the best idea ever to get us out on more dates together ;]
Happy Monday sweet friends!! We’re off and running this morning and taking the office on the road to one of our favorite coffee shops after spending the whole weekend holed up inside working on the bathroom! What are you up to this morning?
The idea for Dear Monday developed from a deep love for storytelling. Letter writing kept us close in spirit though thousands of miles kept us physically apart for quite a while throughout our dating relationship. This became the foundation for what our business was built upon. The idea that “true love can go the distance”. And even the seemingly small things like a simple note here or there, two hearts can be connected and a story can be written that is so much more beautiful than our minds can simply dream up.
