When Ty and I decided to start sharing sneak peeks after each wedding that we shoot I was afraid it would ruin too much of the magic before we could share a couple’s final film. But friends, I was oh so wrong.

We always say that the “magic” is in our editing, and the more we cull through footage from a wedding day, the more and more I know that to be true. A wedding day really comes to life in a film, in a way that it just can’t in anything else. And I’m just so grateful that we get to do this – that we get to capture these memories and turn them into something amazing. Something that our sweet couples can look back on and know – that was the moment it all began, our legacy.

Ty and I have been working on pulling together the final pieces of Corey + Morgan’s film this week and there have been so many times that I’ve said “STOP, turn it off. I don’t know why I’m crying. Why is this so emotional?!” And I STILL, after 10+ times watching it, can’t make it all the way through without crying. But the truth is, wedding days are emotional, in a beautiful way. It’s the final transition of a relationship as it moves into a covenant. It’s the cleaving of a man and woman from their families and joining together under one name. And it’s the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their story together as husband and wife.

Corey + Morgan’s Daddy’s became best friends at the age of 15. In their wildest dreams I’m sure they never thought that their two youngest kids would one day marry one another. But they did. There’s so much I could say about their day – their heartfelt notes to one another, Corey’s tearful reaction to seeing Morgan for the first time, Corey’s Daddy officiating their wedding and being his best man (tears), or Morgan’s reaction when she realized that Corey had recorded himself singing their first dance song. We’ve never been more proud or more anxious to release something that we’ve created, sweet friends. And here it is, our longest film yet, Corey + Morgan’s wedding day!
