A college romance that all started with an introduction by a mutual friend. This introduction slowly blossomed into a friendship and before Amanda knew it, Brian was randomly showing up outside of her Anatomy classroom, stopping in at her work “just to say hi”, helping her learn the JMU campus, or dancing the night away with her at a local hot spot.
Needless to say that friendship carried them through the highs and lows of life throughout the past few years. Until Brian proposed while at one of their favorite vineyards, King Family Vineyards, a year and a half ago. And as Amanda says, she knew she had found the greatest friendship of all: an undeniable love and a partner in life!
Celebrating with these two this past weekend was such a treat for Ty and I. And a true testament that we aren’t just “vendors” on a list that show up to do a job! We are so much more than that!! We are advocates, cheerleaders, encouragers, supporters and “make it happen-ers”. While rain tried to ruin their dream wedding set up we knew that couldn’t happen!! So I ran outside while guests were helping pick up chairs to move the ceremony inside and told everyone to take a seat. We were going for it!! So we pushed up the timeline, sped up the ceremony a bit to get the “I do’s” in before the rain came and clicked our shutter on their last “must have” post ceremony shot before the first rain drop fell. They had opted to do a first look so we had already gotten all the portraits and family formals out of the way before the storm rolled in. It couldn’t have been more perfect!!
We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture these memories that will hang on the walls of their home together, or sit at the desk that they work at, or between the pages of an album they’ll one day share with their kids and future generations of their family. It’s such a privilege for us to come into a couple’s life at such a transformative time, like engagement and then marriage, and the significance of that is not lost on us! We’re so grateful!
So without further ado, enjoy a few of our favorites from their beautiful West Manor Estate Wedding!!
