HANDCRAFTED FILMS

They met in college at James Madison University. Kaylee was a freshman and John was a sophomore. He first asked her out the following year, but the stars just didn’t align quite right. Fast forward to Kaylee’s senior year and John was back in town visiting friends. As luck would have it, their paths crossed again. It was then that John knew he was still very much into Kaylee and hoped for a second chance to ask her out. Thus began the charade of finding numerous excuses to talk to her on the phone or “randomly” planning out times to see her. A short time later, John finally asked her out again, and this time, the sparks flew!

This “second ask” propelled them into a whirlwind romance. And if you ask me, I think their relationship is one of the biggest testaments to grace. It’s not often that you hear about a “second chance romance”. But God knew what he was doing when he brought John + Kaylee together the first time and redeemed it the second time. This two truly are better together than they ever were apart.

Celebrating with them this past weekend was such a dream for Ty and I. So many of our closest friends were a part of their special day which made capturing their day feel like such a treat for us! Enjoy this sneak peek of their day and join me in celebrating the new, Mr & Mrs. John Powers!!

Meet Ashley

A true sweetheart from Southwestern VA, Ash spent many Sundays after church sitting around the table with her grandparents, listening to stories about the “good ‘ole days”. A talented visionary with a true heart for people, she’s likely to be found reading, writing, and planning away.
