This past weekend Ty and I got to celebrate with Cole and Caroline as they became husband and wife at Big Spring Farm. Cole and Caroline first met at the farm for a Young Life event in college. They later were engaged at the farm and now married there! So many big life moments have happened in this place for them and it was so exciting to be a part of capturing this one!

The ebb and flow of a wedding day has always been so fascinating to me. The slow, excited, anticipation of the morning while everyone is getting ready. The nervous, emotion-filled moments before you see one another for the first time. To the joyous announcement of becoming husband and wife and hearing your names together for the first time out loud. And of course the celebration of it all throughout the evening at the reception.

So many “firsts” happen on a wedding day. It makes you want to just soak up every single moment and savor it. Because it truly does go by so fast.

This is why we love being filmmakers so much. It’s not about getting our work published, creating beautiful moments, or even having the best style.

It truly is about capturing these moments that “go by so fast” so that one day our sweet couples can share it with their future families and say, “remember that one time on our wedding day when…” This is truly why we do what we do and we couldn’t ask for more meaningful work.

Cole and Caroline, thank you for letting us capture your story! We hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Meet Ashley

A true sweetheart from Southwestern VA, Ash spent many Sundays after church sitting around the table with her grandparents, listening to stories about the “good ‘ole days”. A talented visionary with a true heart for people, she’s likely to be found reading, writing, and planning away.
